| Announcement for Outlaws Players: - Monday, August 11, 2008The American Legion will provide a charter bus to the National Regional Tournament in Enid on Wednesday, August 13th. All players should meet at Rose St. at 1:20 on Wednesday afternoon. The charter bus will leave around 1:40. There is a mandatory orientation meeting with all players at 3:00 at the Ramada Hotel in Enid. Any player not present at that meeting will be dropped from the playing roster (this is the standard legion rules). There is a banquet at 6:00, followed by a home run derby at the ballpark, a jet fly by from Vance Air Force Base, and fireworks. Tuesday practice at Rose St. is at 8:00. read more ...

| Outlaws advance to State Tournament - Sunday, August 03, 2008The Oklahoma Outlaws jumped on Lawton early to cruise to an 11-1 win to capture the District Championship and advance to the state tournament next week in Enid. Leadoff hitter Derek Glenn did just that, leading off in every at bat with three singles, one triple, and a walk to help pace the offense. Chad Carman had was 2-3 with a RBI double in a six run second, J.T. Realmuto drove in three more runs, giving him 97 RBI on the year, and several Outlaw hurlers shut down Lawton, just allowing a single run in the fourth inning. Starter Taylor Mckinney got the win, with Jim Miner, Wayland Moore, and Justin Freer all throwing shutout innings in relief. The Outlaws move to 47-18, and are now awaiting the bracket to be determined for the state tournament next week. As of Saturday, Enid, Stillwater, Rogers Co., Lawton, Ada, Edmond and the Outlaws have all qualified. After the seeding process by coaches, times and opponents will be decided. The other team to qualify will be either Talequah or Durant. As the host, Enid is guaranteed the premier game Wednesday night at 8:00. Brackets should be set by Monday morning. The state champion will also advance to the Mid-South National Regional, also held at David Allen Ballpark in Enid. | Outlaws down Lawton in district opener. - Saturday, August 02, 2008Outlaw hurler Zac Chase threw 6 1/3 strong innings as the Oklahoma Outlaws downed Lawton 13-7 Friday night in their District opener. Zac improved to 10-2 on the season, giving up three earned runs on six hits, four walks, and three strikeouts. Stephen Henderson and Calyn Young finished for the Outlaws, with Young throwing the last two innings to pick up his third save of the year. All three pitchers worked around six errors on the Outlaws, which lead to four unearned Lawton runs.
At the plate, Brennan Murphy connected on a first inning grand slam and J.T. Realmuto scored Derek Glenn on a ground out as the Outlaws jumped out to a early 5-0 lead. Jim Miner drove in Murphy with a SAC fly in the fifth, and Tyler Kilmer added an RBI squeeze bunt and Josh Halbert singled home Jordan Price to increase the Outlaws lead to 9-2 in the seventh. Price collected four hits, scored twice, and made several running catches in right field. The Outlaws record now is 46-18 and they will play the winner of the Brassfield vs. Lawton game at 8:00 tonight. In the first District contest, Lawton defeated Brassfield 17-16. read more ...

| Outlaws run rule Bartlesville. - Wednesday, July 30, 2008In their final regular season game before District playoffs start Friday, the Oklahoma Outlaws scored early and often to beat Bartlesville 11-2 Wednesday night at Bartlesville. The Outlaws scored four in the first, two in the fourth, and added five in the fifth to seal the victory. Derek Glenn was 2-4 with two RBI's, Cody Ferrell was 3-4 with a two run home run in the fifth, and Josh Halbert was 2-3. Chad Carman also added a two run double in the fourth. On the mound, four Outlaws pitchers saw action, with Morgan Treaster throwing the first four to pick up his first win of the season. Morgan only gave up one hit to the Injuns. Stephen Henderson, Brennan Murphy, and Justin Freer all pitched one inning apiece, as the Outlaws head into District play Friday with everyone available and ready. Brassfield and Lawton will start at 5:00 Friday, and the Outlaws will take on the winner at 8:00 Friday night. The winner advances to the state tournament next week in Enid. read more ...

| Outlaws win at Stillwater - Tuesday, July 29, 2008The Oklahoma Outlaws beat Stillwater 13-9 Tuesday night at Stillwater. The Outlaws, up 11-1 after six innings, held off a Stillwater rally as newcomer Josh Halbert came in to relieve in the 8th inning with the bases loaded after the Outlaw lead was down to 12-8 to record a strikeout and end the Stillwater threat. Several Outlaw pitchers saw action, with starter Calyn Young getting the win to move his record to 9-3, while lowering his ERA to 1.88. Zac Chase, Jim Miner, J.T. Realmuto, Jordan Price, and the closer Halbert all threw as the Outlaws prepare for District play this Friday. Price also homered, number 13 of the year, in the six run Outlaw fourth inning. J.T. Realmuto was 2-5 with four more RBI, giving him 92 on the season, Tyler Kilmer collected three hits, and Brennan Murphy was 2-5. The Outlaws move to 44-18, and will travel to Bartlesville tonight for a 6:00 single nine inning game at Doenges Field, home of last years American Legion World Series. District play will start Friday; the Outlaws will play the winner of the Brassfield vs. Lawton game at 8:00 at Rose St. The District winner qualifies for the state tournament to be held August 6-10 at David Allen Park in Enid. Enid will also host the Mid-South Regional August 14-18. The winner of that regional will fly to Shelby, North Carolina to play in the American Legion World Series. | Outlaws down Rogers County - Saturday, July 26, 2008Choctaw graduate Zac Chase moved his record to 9-2 on the summer as the Oklahoma Outlaws downed Rogers Co. 7-4 Friday night at Rose St. College. Zac threw six innings, scatterred seven hits, one run, five walks, and six strikeouts while lowering his ERA to 2.56. Stephen Henderson threw the seventh, giving up a three run home run in the Rogers Co. seventh. Jones graduate Derek Glenn put the Outlaws up 4-1 in the second with his third home run of the season, a three run shot down the left field line. Cody Ferrell doubled home Josh Balch, who had singled, and Chad Carman doubled home Ferrell in the fourth. Jim Miner drew a bases loaded walk for a RBI in the sixth. The win moves the Outlaws to 43-18 and dropped Rogers Co. to 31-6 on the year. The Outlaws next scheduled game for Sunday at 1:00 has been cancelled because Durant has several All-State players that will have to report Sunday. Derek Glenn will be playing in the game Monday night at Bricktown. The next Outlaw scheduled game is at Stillwater Tuesday night at 7:00. read more ...

| Enid pulls away late to beat Outlaws - Thursday, July 24, 2008The Enid Majors erupted for eight runs over the last two innings to break a 8-8 tie and defeat the Outlaws 16-8 Wednesday night at Rose St. College. Each team scored two runs apiece in the first and fourth innings, then added runs through the sixth for an 8-8 tie, then the wheels fell off for the Outlaws as Enid banged out nine hits over the last two innings and scored eight runs. Starter Justin Freer went 5 1/3 innings, surrendering six hits, seven runs, no walks and four strikeouts. Reliever J.T. Realmuto went 2 1/3 inning, giving up four hits, four runs, three walks, and three strikeouts. Jordan Price finished, giving up five runs on two walks with three strikeouts. Offensively, Cody Ferrell was 2-3, J.T. Realmuto was 3-4 with four more RBI's, pushing his total to 88 for the season. Jim Miner was 2-5 and Tyler Kilmer was 2-3 with a RBI single in the fifth. The Outlaws are off Thursday for their golf tournament at Conrad Course and will host Rogers CO. on Friday night at 8:15, and will host Durant in a 1:00 Doubleheader on Sunday. read more ...

| Enid comeback stuns Outlaws - Wednesday, July 23, 2008The Oklahoma Outlaws built a early 3-0 lead after five innings only to have Enid score two unearned runs in the sixth to tie and eventually score one in the ninth to defeat the Outlaws 4-3 Tuesday night at Rose St. Calyn Young went seven strong innings, giving up only one earned run while walking just two and striking out seven. While he did not get a decision, Young's ERA dropped to a team leading 1.94. Jim Miner threw 1 1/3 innings, giving up two hits and three walks and a ninth inning double that scored the winning run. Jordan Price record one strikeout in 2/3 of a inning in relief. Offensively, J.T. Realmuto doubled home Chad Carman in the first and picked up another RBI with a fielders choice in the third, and Derek Glenn drove home Jim Miner with an RBI single in the fourth, and the Outlaws looked to be in good shape with the 3-0 lead. However, Enid left-hander Zac Tidholm settled down and held the Outlaws in check the rest of the way before his teammates rallied. The Outlaws fall to 42-17 and will face Enid again Wednesday night at 8:00 at Rose St. The Outlaws golf tournament will be held Thursday at Conrad Course in Midwest City, and Friday the Outlaws will host Rogers CO. at 8:15 at Rose St. read more ...

The Outlaws overcame a seven run Stillwater inning for a come from behind 16-8 win over at Stillwater Monday night. Tyler Kilmer threw six innings to pick up his second win of the season. Tyler gave up seven hits, had two walks, and recorded four strikeouts. Jim Miner and J.T. Realmuto both pitched one inning each to finish the game. Jordan Price drove in four runs with a double and his 12th home run of the season, while Josh Balch connected with a solo shot in the third. J.T. Realmuto also had four RBI's, giving him 82 on the year. The Outlaws record moves to 42-16 on the year.
Outlaws 2 Bartlesville 1
Outlaw hurler Stephen Henderson outdueled Bartlesville ace Jeff Neptune as the Outlaws won a pitchers duel 2-1. Stephen went all seven innings in a game that lasted only 70 minutes. Henderson gave up a single run in the second while walking one and striking out one. Cody Ferrell picked the perfect time to hit his first home run of the year, as he blasted a two run shot in the third to seal the win for the Outlaws, now 41-16.
Outlaws 8 Durant 3
The Outlaws got back on the winning track with a 8-3 win over Durant Sunday afternoon. Starter Zac Chase went all seven innings, allowing just five hits on three walks and recorded seven strikeouts. His record moves to 8-2 on the year. The Outlaws scored five in the second to put the game out of reach. Cody Ferrell opened with a triple, scored on a double by Chad Carman, Jordan Price and Jim Miner both doubled, Tyler Kilmer doubled to round out the inning. The Outlaw record moves to 40-16.
Durant 3 Outlaws 1
The Outlaw bats were silenced by Durant Saturday night as they dropped a 3-1 decision. Two errors also proved costly as Durant pushed across two runs in the 7th to break a 1-1 tie. Brennan Murphy took the hard luck loss, throwing seven inning, one walk, four strikeouts and giving up two earned runs.

Justin Freer moved to 6-1 on the year as the Outlaws recored 13 hits and scored 16 runs for the run rule. Freer recorded nine strikeouts and gave up only two hits. Derek Glenn was 3-3 with 2 RBI, J.T. Realmuto was 2-3 with two doubles and four RBI, and Jordan Price was 3-3 with a RBI single in the fourth inning. The Outlaws record now stands at 39-15.

After a short break, the Outlaws got back on the winning track with a 9-8 win over Lawton in 11 innings. Calyn Young picked up the win in relief of starter Wayland Moore, moving his record to 8-3 while going 7 innings, giving up two hits, one unearned run, no walks and six strikeouts. Jordan Price had a 3-6 day, including his 11th home run and three RBI's. Brennan Murphy was also 3-6 with two RBI's. | Schedule Changes - Tuesday, July 22, 2008Several changes have been made to the Outlaws schedule: Because of the golf tournament, the Thursday game with Brassfield will be played at a determined later date. The OU/Bricktown Festival has been cancelled. The Outlaws will host their own festival this weekend at Rose St. They will play Rogers Co. at 8:00 Friday night and Durant at 1:00 Sunday for a DH. | Elk City Tournament Results - Monday, July 14, 2008
Game 1: Outlaws 21 Oklahoma Baseball 0
Zac Chase improved to 6-2 on the year by throwing a one-hit shutout to open the prestigious Route 66 Elk City Tournament. Chase scattered three walks around three strikeouts while the Outlaws bats pounded out 19 hits and 21 runs. Third baseman Josh Balch was 4-4 with three doubles and three RBI, Derek Glenn was 3-4 with 2 RBI, and J.T. Realmuto was 3-3 with 5 RBI as the Outlaws used a 14 run third inning to put the game quickly out of reach. Tyler Kilmer also added three hits and his first home run, a two run shot, in the third.
Game 2: Outlaws 14 Dallas Hurricanes 6
The Outlaws defeated the Dallas Hurricanes in their second pool game. Left-hander Jim Miner picked up the win, moving his record to 4-2. He allowed four hits, four runs, four walks, and three strikeouts. Tyler Kilmer blasted his second home run in two days, this one a first inning three run blast off of the scored board in left centerfield. Kilmer also picked up a SAC fly in the fifth inning that allowed the Outlaws to run rule the Hurricane. J.T. Realmuto also homered in the second inning, this one a grand slam that landed well beyond the wall in left centerfield. Center fielder Cody Ferrell was also 2-2 with a RBI triple in the third inning. The Outlaws move to 34-13 overall and 2-0 in the tournament.
Game 3: Outlaws 8 Topeka Stars 1
The Outlaws improved to 3-0 in pool play as Brennan Murphy threw a complete game five hitter, allowing only a first inning run while recording two strikeouts and scattering four walks.
Murphy record now is 4-2. Offensively, the Outlaws recorded 15 hits, including two home runs by Jim Miner, a three run shot in the third and a solo shot in the sixth. Cody Ferrell was also 3-4 with a first inning RBI single, plating lead-off hitter Derek Glenn, who had opened the game with a triple. The Outlaws record now moves to 35-13.
Game 4: Outlaws 7 Woodward Travelers 5
The Outlaws clinched a semi-final berth in the tournament with a 7-5 over Woodward to move to 4-0 in pool play. Evan Green moved to 4-0 on the year, throwing four innings, scattering eight hits on three walks. Reliever Calyn Young threw three innings to pick up his second save of the year.
Derek Glenn was 2-3 and J.T. Realmuto picked his team leading 71st RBI on a first inning SAC fly.
Game 5: Arlington, TX 16 Outlaws 9
In their second game Saturday after having clinched a playoff berth Sunday, the Outlaws fell behind to Arlington and dropped a 16-9 decision. Starter Justin Freer saw his win streak snapped and fell to 5-1. He surrendered eight runs on two walks and had five strikeouts. Reliever Tyler Kilmer was roughed up for seven earned runs in two innings of work. Arlington, because of an earlier loss in the tournament, had to win to get into the semi-final action on Sunday. Cody Ferrell lead all hitters, going 3-5 with two doubles and a RBI.
Game 6; Semi-finals: Outlaws 11 Elk City Travelers 5
The Oklahoma Outlaws moved into the championship game with an 11-5 victory over the host Elk City Travelers, snapping the Travelers 36 game winning streak in the process. Zac Chase improved to 7-2 on the year, going 5 1/3 innings, giving up eight hits, four runs, four walks and two strikeouts. Zac also recorded his second win of the tournament, the first coming Thursday. Offensively, the Outlaws recorded 13 hits, using a four run fifth and a four run sixth to put the game out of reach. Jordan Price was 3-3 with three RBI’s, Chad Carman was 3-5, Brennan Murphy was 2-3 with a RBI, and Jim Miner was 1-3 with a two run home run in the fourth. The Outlaws trailed 3-1 before Miner’s blast, then erupted for eight runs in the fifth and sixth innings to move into the championship game. J.T. Realmuto pitched 1 2/3 innings, getting out of a bases loaded jam in the sixth when center fielder Cody Ferrell ran down a drive 430 feet into deep center field. The Outlaws move to 37-14 while the Travelers fall to 51-6.
Game 7; Championship game: Cherry Creek, CO 2 Outlaws 1
Perennial powerhouse Cherry Creek Colorado pushed across a run in the bottom of the sixth inning to break a one-one tie and held off the Outlaws to capture the 2008 Route 66 Championship. Cherry Creek scored one run in the third off starter Wayland Moore, and scored off of reliever Calyn Young with two outs in the sixth for the game winner. Both teams collected just five hits apiece in the classic pitchers duel. Jim Miner drove in the lone Outlaws run in the fourth with a RBI groundout. The Outlaws fall to 37-15 and will host Ardmore and Lawton in a three way this Friday and 4:00 and 8:00. read more ...

| Outlaws run-rule Edmond Travelers. - Wednesday, July 09, 2008The Oklahoma Outlaws cruised to an easy 12-2 victory over the Edmond Travelers Tuesday night at Rose St. College.
Justin Freer moved to a perfect 5-0 with a five innings two hitter. Freer was touched by a first inning two run home run by the Travelers before holding them scoreless the rest of the way. He struck out six and had no walks. Offensively, the Outlaws collected 11 hits, most of the coming in a seven run second inning. Brennan Murphy lead off with a single, advanced to second on a wild pitch and scored on a Jim Miner RBI single. Jeremy Wright from McLoud followed with a walk, Derek Glenn singled, scoring Miner, Cody Ferrell walked, then fourth year Outlaw Chad Carman drove home two with a single. J.T. Realmuto promptly homered to left field, giving him a team leading fifty nine RBI's. Stephen Henderson added a single in the third to score two more runs, and Brennan Murphy capped a three for three night with a RBI double. | Outlaws split with Ambassadors and Edmond Stars in a three way. - Tuesday, July 08, 2008Game 1: In their first game back since the Olde South Plains tournament last week, the Oklahoma Outlaws bats never got going in a 5-3 setback at the hands of the OKC Ambassadors. The Outlaws only managed seven hits, with Jordan Price delivering four of those with a perfect 4-4 day at the plate. Cody Ferrell, Chad Carman, and Jeremy Wright were the only other Outlaws to get a hit. Because of the upcoming Elk City Tournament, four Outlaw pitchers split time on the mound. Starter Zac Chase went two innings, Calyn Young threw three innings, while Brennan Murphy and Jordan Price threw one inning apiece. Murphy gave up two runs in the sixth and sufferred the loss, falling to 3-2.
Game 2: In a reversal of game one, the Outlaws exploded for 17 hits and 14 runs to pull out a dramatic 14-13 victory over the Edmond Stars. The Outlaws trailed early, falling behind 11-3 after just 2 1/2 inning of play. The Outlaws scored three in the third, two in the fourth, three in the fifth, one in the sixth, and two in the seventh to win. Reliever Tyler Kilmer came in for starter Evan Green in the third and threw 3 2/3 innings of three hit ball as the Outlaws chipped away at the Edmond lead. Kilmer allowed no earned runs, one walk, and recored seven strikeouts, before giving way to J.T. Realmuto to finish up the seventh. Although Kilmer had no decision, his middle relief allowed the Outlaws to stage their comeback. Realmuto picked up the win to move to 1-0. The Outlaws tied the score at 12 in their half of the sixth, only to see Edmond score to retake the lead in the seventh. In the home half of the seventh, Jordan Price lead off by getting hit, Brennan Murphy walked, Zac Chase grounded to short for a fielders choice and went to second on a throwing error, with Price scoring to tie the score at 13. Jim Miner then singled to center to bring home Chase with the winning walk off single, Miner's second game winning hit in the past several days. With the win, the Outlaws move to 31-13 and will face the Edmond Travelers at 8:00 Tuesday night. | 2008 Olde South Plains Tournament Results - Thursday, July 03, 2008Game 1: Outlaws 9 Santa Fe 0: The Outlaws open the Olde South Plains Tournament with a short five-inning run rule over Edmond Santa Fe. Calyn Young improved to 6-2 on the year, only giving up one hit with two strikeouts. Cody Ferrell collected four hits and two RBI's, and Jordan Price added three hits and one RBI. Outlaws record moves to 26-10.
Game 2: Outlaws 9 Moore Shockers 0: The Outlaws improved to 2-0 in pool play with another run rule. Evan Green moved to 3-0 after giving up only one hit in five innings of work, along with four walks and five strikeouts. Chad Carman, a fourth year Outlaw, was 2-3 with three RBI's, and Josh Balch was 1-2 with a RBI single. Center fielder Cody Ferrell was also 1-2 with an RBI, and Jordan Price picked up two RBI's with a second inning single. Outlaws move to 27-10.
Game 3: The Outlaws played the Topeka Stars in the third game of pool play Sunday night. Topeka Left-hander Darren Weeks shut down the Outlaws offense, picking up the 3-2 win. Zac Chase took the loss for the Outlaws, dropping his record to 5-1. Zac gave up six hits and only two earned runs in 5 1/3 innings of work. Calyn Young threw 1 2/3 innings, recording two strikeouts. Cody Ferrell and J.T. Realmuto collected four of the seven hits the Outlaws had on the night. Outlaws record drops to 27-11 overall.
Game 4: The Outlaws bounced back in pool play Monday night with a 14-4 run rule over Spiveys. After quickly giving up four runs in the first to Spiveys, the Outlaws bounced back to score two in the first, seven in the second, three in the third, and added two in the fourth for the run rule. After struggling early, starter Justin Freer settled down to pick up the win, improving to 4-0 on the year. Stephen Henderson threw the fifth, allowing only a hit. Offensively, several Outlaws had big nights at the plate. Cody Ferrell was 2-3. Jordan Price was 2-3 with a RBI triple in the third inning. Chad Carman was 1-2 with a towering two run home in the third. J.T. Realmuto was 1-3 with two RBI's; Brennan Murphy, Josh Balch, and Jim Miner all collected hits and Tyler Kilmer added two RBI's with a 2-3 night. Outlaws improve to 28-11 and set up showdown with Lubbock Tuesday night to advance out of ppool play.
Game 5: Outlaws 7 Lubbock, Tx 6 in 11 innings. The Outlaws and Blue Jays from Lubbock both entered the final game of pool play Tuesday with one loss, so the loser would be eliminated from semi-final action on Wednesday. The Outlaws responded with a dramatic 7-6 in 11 innings, as Jim Miner singled home Chad Carman, who had doubled, with the winning run with two outs in the bottom of the 11th inning. Earlier in the ninth inning, shortstop J.T. Realmuto hit a a massive solo shot with the Outlaws down a run to tie the game at six. Calyn Young picked up the win in relief of starter Brennan Murphy. Murphy threw 6 2/3 innings, giving up five runs on ten hits, three walks, and added six strikeouts. Stephen Henderson threw two inning before Young threw the last 2 1/3, giving up two hits and recording one strikeout, moving his record to 7-2. The win put the Outlaws into Wednesday's semi-final action, which started just a few hours after the Outlaws picked up the win at about 1:30 am.
Game 6: Outlaws 11 Arlington, TX 9: The Outlaws cruised out to an early 8-0 cushion on the Rangers, then had to hold off a furious rally before winning 11-9. Starter Jim Miner improved to 3-2 on the year, going five innings, giving up five hits, five walks and four strikeouts. J.T. Realmuto threw the last two innings to pick up his first save of the year, giving up one run on one hit and one strikeout. Cody Ferrell lead all hitters, going 4-4 with two RBI's. Jordan Price had two single and two RBI's, J.T. Realmuto collected two hits and four RBI. Brennan Murphy, Tyler Kilmer, and Josh Balch all had RBI singles.
FINALS: PC North 8 Outlaws 7: P.C. North, who had battled out of pool play elimination just the day before, jumped on the Outlaws by scoring seven runs in the first two innings, only to have the Outlaws tie the game in the seventh, before winning in the bottom of the 10th. Reliever Zac Chase took the loss, dropping his record to 5-2. Chase and reliver Calyn Young had actually held North scoreless for eight innings. The Outlaws overall record stand at 30-12 and will be off until Monday when they host the OKC Ambassadors and the Edmond Stars and 4:00 and 8:00 Monday night. read more ...

| Outlaws pull away from Moore - Friday, June 27, 2008Despite falling behind 4-0 in the first inning to Moore Thursday night at Rose St. Thursday night, the Oklahoma Outlaws managed to put together a 13-5 victory. Each team scored four runs in the first inning. In the home half, Derek Glenn walked and then scored on a triple by Cody Ferrell. Jordan Price walked and J.T. Realmuto singled, driving in Ferrell, before Josh Balch doubled Price and Realmuto home. The Outlaws took the lead in the second when Wayland Moore doubled and Cody Ferrell doubled him home. The Outlaws scored two more in the third and added six runs in the fourth, three of them coming from a pinch-hit three run home run by Brennan Murphy, his third of the year. Left-hander Jim Miner evened his record at 2-2, throwing the first four innings, allowing four hits, three walks, six strikeouts, and only two earned runs. Calyn Young threw the fifth, striking out four Moore batters.
The Outlaws record moves to 25-10, and they will begin the Olde South Plains Tournament Saturday. They will play Santa Fe at 7:30 Saturday night, will face Moore again at 9:00 a.m. Sunday and the Topeka Stars Sunday night, then will play Spiveys and Lubbock Monday and Tuesday nights. | Outlaws sweep Memorial and Edmond Travelers - Thursday, June 26, 2008The Oklahoma Outlaws coasted to an easy 23-1 victory over the Edmond Memorial AAA and then defeated the Edmond Travelers 8-1 Wednesday night at Rose St. Field. The Outlaws used 20 hits to score 23 runs in a five inning run rule. Cody Ferrell and Jordan Price lead the Outlaws with three hits apiece; Ferrell added four RBI and Price had 2 RBI. Jim Miner also had two hits and four RBI, with a two run home run in the second. Evan Green threw all five innings, picking up his second win. Green only allowed five hits, one run, three walks, and four strikeouts.
In the second game, Brennan Murphy improved to 3-1 on the season, throwing six innings, giving up only three hits, one earned run, three walks, and nine strikeouts. Catcher Chad Carman went three for four, third baseman Josh Balch was two for two with two doubles, and Derek Glenn was two for three with an RBI double in the second. | Carman leads Outlaws in win over Stillwater - Wednesday, June 25, 2008Third year Outlaw Catcher Chad Carman helped lead them to a 11-5 win over Stillwater Tuesday night at Rose State. Carman doubled home Jordan Price in the fourth inning, then belted a three-run home run in the sixth, and then added a RBI single in the seventh. The Outlaws scored four in the first, as Derek Glenn lead off the game with a solo home run to left field, Jordan Price tripled, Carman reached on a error by the Stillwater first baseman, J.T. Realmuto drove in Price for his team leading 42nd RBI, Tyler Kilmer drove in courtesy runner Zac Chase with a sacrifice fly, and Josh Balch delivered Realmuto with a RBI single. Pitchers Justin Freer, Calyn Young, and Stephen Henderson split the nine inning game, with Young throwing the middle four innings to pick up the win, moving his record to 5-2. Young gave up only two hits, no runs, and recording five strikeouts. Freer threw three innings, allowing four runs on three walks and three strikeouts. Henderson recorded four strikeouts in two innings to close out the game. The Outlaws record moves to 22-10 and will face Edmond Memorial and the Edmond Travelers in a three way a Rose St. Game time are 4:00, 6:00, and 8:00. | Outlaws split double header with Moore and Ada. - Monday, June 23, 2008The Oklahoma Outlaws coasted to an easy 13-1 run rule over Moore Monday night at Rose St. before dropping the second game with Ada Post 72 7-6. In the first game, Zac Chase remained perfect on the season, throwing 5 innings, giving up four hits, one run, one walk, and recorded four strikeouts to move his record to 5-0. The Outlaws scored three in the first, two in the second, three in the third, and added five in the fourth to seal the run rule. Derek Glenn was 3-3 with one RBI , J.T. Realmuto was 3-4 with four RBI, and DH Jim Miner was 2-3. With the win, the Outlaws record improved to 21-9.
After Ada also run ruled Moore, the Outlaws fell behind the third game of the night 7-2 before staging a late 7th inning rally, only to fall short, losing 7-6. Wayland Moore started and took the loss, giving up four earned runs on six hits, two walks, and recording three strikeouts. Moore's record falls to 2-3. Stephen Henderson threw the last two innings, giving up one earned run on three hits, one walk, and three strikeouts. Shortstop J.T. Realmuto again led all hitters with a sac fly in the first inning to drive in Jordan Price, who had walked and advanced to third on a passed ball and an error, and drove in two more with a double in the four run 7th inning. Derek Glenn had singled and Jordan Price was hit by a pitch before Realmuto drove them home. Realmuto and Brennan Murphy, who had walked and advanced to third on a error, also scored before Ada shut down the rally with two outs and the tying run on third base. The Outlaws fall to 21-10 on the season and will play Stillwater in a single nine inning game Tuesday night at 7:00 at Rose St., then will host Edmond Memorial at 4:00 Wednesday and the Edmond Travelers at 8:00 Wednesday. | Outlaws run-rule Minnesota; fall 6-5 in finals to Fairview, Colorado - Saturday, June 21, 2008The Oklahoma Outlaws defeated Montevideo, Minnesota 11-0 in the semi-finals of the Bill Olsen Omaha Tournament before falling to Fairview, Colorado 6-5 in the championship game.
Against Minnesota, right-hander Calyn Young was in complete control, throwing five innings, giving up just two hits, no runs, no walks, and eight strikeouts, moving his record to 4-2. Derek Glenn, Chad Carman, and Josh Balch all collected two hits apiece to lead the Outlaws offensively. Jordan Price also connected on his team leading tenth home run. The run rule moved the Outlaws record to 20-8 and put them in a position to win the Omaha tournament for the third straight year.
However, one bad innings on defense doomed the Outlaws. The Outlaws got off to a good start in the finals against Fairview, Colorado. In the first, Derek Glenn singled then was brought home on a Jordan Price RBI triple. Chad Carman then drove in Price with a RBI groundout to second base. However, Fairview struck for four unearned runs in their half of the second inning. Two walks and two errors by the Outlaw defense opened the door for Fairview. Oklahoma scored three more runs in the third to regain the lead 5-4, only to give up two more unearned runs in the Fairview sixth inning. Jim Miner took the hard luck loss, dropping to 1-2 on the year. The loss puts the overall record at 20-9. | Outlaws open CWS tourney with three wins. - Wednesday, June 18, 2008Monday June 16: The Outlaws opened the 2008 CWS tournament with a 21-6 victory over Omaha Benson. The Outlaws scored four runs in the first, one in the second, eleven in the third, and five in the fifth to run-rule Benson. Derek Glenn was 2-3 with 3 RBI, Brennan Murphy was 2-3 with an RBI, Cody Ferrell was 3-5 with 2 RBI, Jim Miner 4-5 with 3 RBI, Stephan Henderson 2-4 with 3 RBI, and Jordan Price was 1-3 with a solo and team-leading ninth home run in the third inning. Justin Freer threw 5 innings, giving up 7 hits, four earned runs, three walks, and eight strikeouts to move to 3-0 on the year.
In the second game, the Outlaws defeated Omaha Northwest 7-1. Zac Chase threw 7 innings, giving up only 2 hits, 1 run, recorded eight strikeouts to move to 4-0 on the year.
In the Outlaws second innings, Cody Ferrell lead off with a single, Josh Balch singled, Tyler Kilmer sacrificed both runners over, Stephan Henderson scored Ferrell with an RBI groundout, Derek Glenn then walked, Jordan Price had an RBI single, Chad Carman walked, J.T. Realmuto singled in a run and Jim Miner doubled in two more runs. Miner also had an RBI single in the sixth innings. Overall record now is 18-8.
Tuesday June 17: Outlaws defeated Casper, Wyoming 8-3. Brennan Murphy (2-1) went 5 2/3 with three hits, three runs, one walk, and six strikeouts. J.T. Realmuto threw the last inning, recording two strikeouts. Tyler Kilmer got the Outlaws on the board with a two-run double in the second inning. J.T. Realmuto had an RBI double in the fifth, and Jim Miner had an RBI single in the same inning. The Outlaws move to 3-0 in tournament play and 19-8 overall. | Enid Majors score early and often to down Outlaws - Sunday, June 15, 2008Reversing a trend the Outlaws used the night before, the Enid Majors scored two in the first, one each in the second, third, and fourth, and cruised to a 12-4 victory over the Outlaws Saturday night at David Allen Ballpark. Wayland Moore (2-2) suffered the loss for the Outlaws, going 5 1/3 innings, giving up 14 hits, 8 runs, 3 walks, and 3 strikeouts. The Outlaws never really threatened agaisnt Enid southpaw Zac Tidholm, stranding 12 runners and leaving the bases loaded both in the seventh and eight innings. Derek Glenn from Jones was the only Outlaws to collect two hits, while J.T. Realmuto, Brennan Murphy, and Stephan Henderson all collected rbi singles. The loss drops the Outlaws to 16-8 overall.
The Outlaws depart for Omaha, Nebraska Monday night, hoping to defend their College World Series Tournament title that they have won the previous two seasons. | Outlaws score early; hold off Enid to win 8-5 - Saturday, June 14, 2008The Oklahoma Outlaws plated 5 runs with two outs in the first inning then held off an Enid ralley to close out an 8-5 win Friday night at David Allen Ballpark in downtown Enid. The Outlaws move to 16-7 with the win and will play again Saturday night at 8:00 before heading to Omaha for the College World Series tournament.
With two quick outs in the first, Chad Carman hit his team leading 4th triple. J.T. Realmuto promptly doubled Carman in, and Oultaws Brennan Murphy, Cody Ferrell, Zac Chase and Wayland Moore all followed with rbi singles. Zac Chase also singled in Cody Ferrell in the third, and Cody Ferrell doubled in J.T. Realmuto and Brennan Murphy in the 8th. Enid scored one unearned run in the third before scoring 4 runs in the sixth to cut the Outlaw lead to 6-5. Jim Miner(1-1) went 5 innings to get the win, giving up 5 hits, 2 walks and three strikeouts. In the crucial seventh, Wayland Moore and Jordan Price drew back to back walks, Chad Carman reached on a fielder's choice before J.T. Realmuto hit a 3 run-home (2) to bring the Outlaws to within a run. Jim Miner then singled and Josh Balch and Cody Ferrell drew walks before the Stars closed the game out with a strikeout. Brennan Murphy (1-1) took the loss, giving up 9 runs on 7 hits, 5 walks, and 4 strikeouts. Stephan Henderson relieved and was roughed up for 4 earned runs in 2 2/3 innings. The Outlaws outhit the Stars 15-12 with Jordan Price going 3-4 with 2 rbi on his eight home run. Carman was 2-5, Jim Miner was 3-5 with 2 rbi, and Wayland Moore drove in 4 runs overall, two on his first home run in the 4th innings.
In the nightcap, Tyler Kilmer (1-0) gave the bullpen some much needed rest with a 5 inning game as the Outlaws run ruled Moore 14-2. Kilmer scattered 7 hits, one earned run, three walks and three strikeouts. Carman lead the hitters, going 2-4 with four rbi on two triples. Brennan Murphy collected three rbi and Wayland Moore was 1-1 with 2 rbi. The Outlaws move to 15-7 overall and begin a two game series in Enid Friday and Saturday night at 8:00 at David Allen Ballpark. Realmuto and Brennan Murphy also collected 2 hits apiece.
In the nightcap, Zac Chase (3-0) went 4 innings, gave up 5 runs on 6 hits, 5 bb, and 5 k's to get the win. J.T. Realmuto threw the 5th, giving up 2 unearned runs. Jordan Price went 3-5 with a 2-run home run (7) and a 2-run double. Realmuto was also 3-5 with 3 rbi's, Brennan Murphy was 3-3 with 4 rbi's and his 2nd home run in the 4th inning, and Josh Balch was 2-4 with a rbi single in the second inning and a 2-run home run (6) in the third. Cody Ferrell was also 3-4 with 2 rbi's.
